Electrostatic powder coating process

1. The principle of electrostatic powder coating process:

The powder coating is sprayed on the surface of the workpiece with an electrostatic powder machine (electrostatic powder coating gun). Under the action of static electricity, the powder will be uniformly adsorbed on the surface of the workpiece to form a powder coating; the powder coating is baked and leveled at high temperature. Cures to form a final coating with various effects (different kinds of effects for powder coatings).

2. Electrostatic powder coating process:

(1) Pre-treatment: remove oil, dust and rust on the surface of the workpiece, and generate a "phosphating layer" or "silane layer" on the surface of the workpiece that is anti-corrosion and can increase the adhesion of the spray coating.

(2) Electrostatic coating: evenly spray the powder coating on the surface of the workpiece. Special workpieces (including the position where electrostatic shielding is likely to be generated) should be sprayed with a high-performance electrostatic powder machine (electrostatic powder coating gun).

(3) High-temperature curing: Heat the powder coating on the surface of the workpiece to a specified temperature and keep it for a corresponding time to melt, level and solidify, so as to obtain the desired surface effect of the workpiece (the powder coating is generally displayed on the packaging box. Provide curing temperature and holding time).

(4) Decorative treatment: make the workpiece after electrostatic coating achieve a certain special appearance effect, such as: various wood grains, patterns, brightening and so on.
